Some tips:
You’re looking for someone who you admire and who wants you to succeed.
DON’T pick someone who will say yes but doesn’t have the time or desire to follow through.
Pick a simple way to check in: is it a daily text, a weekly phone call or a quick email, snapchat or IG message? What do you turn to most naturally every single day?
This does not have to be someone who understands what you do… or someone who works in real estate… or someone who is also looking for accountability. It can be your mom, your partner, your best friend, your grandparent (bonus points because they have time, want you to win and want to hear from you!)
Send them a note right now. There are some thought starters at the end of this email for your text/email/conversation.
A few ideas on how to do this:
Via text or DM: someone you can contact daily to say “I did my marketing thing, did you?”
Via email or phone: someone you can state your weekly marketing goals or steps to… who will ask you about them (or you can email or otherwise report to when complete).
Via Zoom or in person: is there someone you’d like to spend 30 minutes or an hour with weekly over a virtual (or live) cup of coffee or a cocktail or a walk?
