Today’s task is going to be mind-blowingly simple… but it will set up your future success.
The Daily Do: take 10 minutes now to block time for marketing.
Some tips:
Know thyself. Much like exercise, I won’t get to it if it is late in the day. It’s early or never for me. What’s the equivalent truth for you?
What matters is consistency. Can you dedicate 15 minutes a day or maybe 1 - 2 hours per week?
DON’T block a time that you know will be constantly moved or interrupted. Once you start skipping or moving it, you’ll do it every time.
Make a vow: you are going to do this.
It’s easy to say “I don’t have time for marketing, I’m too busy.” But the truth is you aren’t, and this could be the most valuable thing you do for yourself.
Now go to your calendar and block that time.
A few ideas:
Can you start every Monday from 8a - 9a when your household is out the door but you haven’t opened your inbox full of distractions quite yet?
Would a Friday morning date with yourself in a quiet spot (or as a treat: at your favorite tea or coffee shop) be enticing?
Is 10 minutes a day more realistic than weekly… or would it be better to block a half day or full day once or twice a month?
DID YOU DO IT?
Hit reply, ping me, text me: I want to know. Did it help? Got thoughts? I’m all ears.
Let’s do it again tomorrow!
Cheers,
Beth
